Even though I am on the treadmill for usually 40 minutes, I always want to quit after 3 minutes

I've been starting my treadmill work out for a month and a half now and I'm typically on the treadmill between 1-3 times a week. Even though I am doing this more regularly, versus doing nothing before, I still get so out of breath and want to quit just after 3 minutes on the clock. But of course, I don't quit and then I wonder how the heck did I get this far?

I guess they don't call it a "work out" for nothing. You really do work! I can see why so many quit after working out for just a month....

Watching too much "The Walking Dead" makes me want to buy a knife for protection

Lately, it seems like the newer TV series are getting more gory and violent. We have been following "The Walking Dead" shows and I've never seen so many stabs in the head in my life! They make it look so easy. It started to make me think that maybe it's good to have a handy knife around in case I need to save to my life. So I decided to go to the Flea Market and found myself a knife for $12 this past weekend. It's not a switch blade, since it's illegal anyway but it does pop out from the side...

Swelling after running is usually healthy

When I first started running on the treadmill, I started swelling a lot. At first I was scared that maybe I had a health condition that I didn't know about but then I realized it's because my heart is pumping the hardest it ever has in the last 5 years. And this hard pumping causes your body to swell.

It also discouraged me at first. Usually after I run for a mile or two, I would look at the gym mirror immediately after and think I look fat and that the last month of running on the treadmill ...
