What makes this beach town different than the others in
San Diego is that they are very limited on the number of hotels in Ocean Beach.
There are only 2 hotels in OB. This makes it somewhat uninviting for
visitors from a different city to come visit here but somehow they make
their way here anyway, wherever they are staying at in San Diego. OB
residents are very friendly, however, the town makes an effort to keep
the town as down to earth and authentic as possible with few foreigners
and many real local beach town dwellers.

This
is the biggest hotel in the area but it's relatively small compared to
many hotels you might be used to. However, it may be your best option
because it is beachfront and on Newport Ave. where it's full of things

Ocean Beach Dog Park
Located between West Point Loma Blvd and Sunset Cliffs Blvd., you can take your dogs, large or small, to the biggest dog park in San Diego located in Ocean Beach. There are plenty of bags, donated chairs and a water fountain to make your pet and the owners comfortable. We take our Australian Shepherd here very often.
